WINLOTT Inc. / WICBC Under 19 Tournament 2017

The Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control is pleased to announce that the WINLOTT Inc. / WICBC Under 19 Tournament 2017 will be hosted in Lucia from June 26th – 2nd July. This tournament forms part of a partnership between WINLOTT Inc and WIBC which commenced in 2015 where WINLOTT Inc. committed to sponsor the Windward Islands Under 15 and Under 19 tournaments.

The two year exclusive sponsorship agreement is valued in excess of $640,000.00 with $200,000.0 paid directly to CWI annually and the further $120,000.00 contributed directly by WINLOTT Inc each year, for tournament and prizes and uniforms for all teams and officials as well as training camps for both the Windward Islands Under 15 and Under 19 teams in preparation for the CWI Regional tournaments.WINLOTT Inc. support through the tournaments not only benefits the cricketers but also generates economic activity in the host country especially in the hospitality sector.

The Under 19 tournament commences on Monday 26th June at the Mindoo Phillip Park where St. Lucia plays host to Grenada, while defending champions St. Vincent and the Grenadines will face Dominica.The competition will be played on a round robin format where each team plays each other. At the end of the tournament a Windwards Under 19 team will be selected for the upcoming CWI Regional tournament which will be held from July 24th to August 20th in St. Kitts.

CWI expresses great appreciation to WINLOTT Inc. for their dedication to supporting the development of Windward Islands youth cricket which contributes to successful performances of cricketers at the Regional level.

The remaining scheduled of matches are as follows

  • 28th – 29th June – St. Lucia vs. St. Vincent and the Grenadines – Gros Islet. Grenada vs. Dominica – Mindoo Phillip Park
  • 1st – 2nd July – St. Vincent and the Grenadines vs. Grenada – Mindoo Phillip Park and St. Lucia vs. Dominica at the Gros Islet Playing Field.
