Action in the Hero Caribbean Premier League continued on Thursday night at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad and Tobago. In the elimination playoff match, the Trinbago Knight Riders took on the Guyana Amazon Warriors. After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Guyana got to the respectable total of 159/6 in their 20 overs. Gajanand Singh top scored with an important 39 off 25 balls, while Chadrick Walton contributed 37 off 31 deliveries. For Trinidad, Daniel Christian was the pick of the bowlers, taking 3/30 in 4 overs.
In response, after losing Sunil Narine off the first delivery of the innings, and Hamza Tariq for 10 runs, the Knight Riders bounced back through some classy hitting from Colin Munro and Daren Bravo. In the end, Munro got to 57*, while Bravo contributed 43 from 27 deliveries to ensure a place in the final. Trinidad won by 6 wickets.
The Trinbago Knight Riders will take on the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots on Saturday night in Trinidad from 9:00pm.
