The Runs Keep On Piling For Kimani Melius

More runs for Kimani Melius but Barbados holds the upper hand against the Windward Islands as the final round of matches in the 2017 Regional Under 19 Three Day Cricket Tournament continued in St. Kitts.

On Thursday August 10th at the St. Paul’s Cricket Ground the Windward Islands batting first made a disappointing 121 all out in 43.2 overs with St. Lucian Kimani Melius continuing to pile up the runs top scoring with yet another half century. He made a well played 52 in 104 balls with 5 fours and a six. Melius has now carried his tally of runs to 410, the most by any batsman in the tournament thus far. The only other batsman to reach double figures were Dillon Douglas 15, Daneal Dupigny 13 and Johann Jeremiah 12.

For Barbados the leading wicket takers were, Dante Nile with 4 for 12 in 11 overs, Camarie Boyce 3 for 27 in 16.2 overs and Jarion Hoyte 2 for 30 in 6 overs.In reply Barbados finished the day ina commanding position on 177 for 2 in 54 overs,with Shian Brathwaite stroking 102 and Nico Reifer 41.Sealron Williams captured both wickets to fall for 46 runs.
