The top 18 and under male swimmers and top 17 and under female world wide will descend on Indianapolis during 23rd August and @8th August for the staging of the 6th FINA World Junior Swimming Championships, hosted by USA Swimming and USA Aquatic sports. The event was first held in Rio de Janeiro in 2006, and hosted in Singapore in 2015.
This year Saint Lucia will be represented at the meet by Terrel Monplaisir who will be expected to compete in the six day meet where a number of swimmers will be focusing on representing their country at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.At the recently held CARIFTA Games in the Bahamas Terrel earned a silver medal. An excited Terrel expressed his gratitude to SLASA, family and the TOGS Fund for providing him with the opportunity to represent. In addition he promised to give out his best.
