Super League Match Day 5

In Mabouya Valley -Thursday 21 April.
It was pandemonium at the La Ressource Playing Field last evening as a crowd estimated to be close to 4000 football fans was on hand to take in the second match between home team Mabouya Valley and Canaries.
Mabouya Valley took the lead in the 2nd minute of play when No. 9 Yveslin Eugene slot home a low right foot shot past the Canaries custodian to the delight of the many Mabouya Valley fans present. The visiting Canaries team with a support crowd of just over 45 individuals in the stands never for once allowed their shoulders to drip as they quickly equalized via the penalty spot in the 19th minute through No.14 David Henry.
Dress in their customary blue and white attire Mabouya Valley will nose again in the lead with double strikes from their No. 8 Vernon Abbott in the 26th and 30th minute to make it 3 -1. For Mabouya Valley supporters it was all over, seal and done with, but that was not to be as Canaries No.8 Steven Longville 37th and 45+2 minute goal made it 3 – 3 at the end of the first time whistle of Referee Leo Clarke and to set up an interesting second half.
On the resumption after the halftime whistle  it was all to play as the two teams came out firing at each other  and so too the massive crowd on hand with their various chants. But the evening really belong to the Canaries team as No. 14 David Henry made it 4 – 3 to give his team the lead for the first time in the encounter and to silent the crowd just for a brief moment.
With the score 4 – 3 in favor of the western team, there was a surge of energy by Canaries as they move into High Gear to out run Mabouya Valley with some accurate passing and strong defending by their captain No. 2 Bradley Tisson. Canaries will stretch their lead again this time through their No.16 Donavan Jn Baptiste in the 63rd minute to seal what can best be described as remarkable come from behind victory.
Final score 5 – 3.
Meanwhile, in the first encounter not as excited as the second, Babonneau defeated a highly talented Marchand team  1 – 0 with a goal from No.7 Donicious Inglis in the 55th minute.
