St. Lucia’s Gary Mathurin Contributes to Jamaica’s Defense of 128

While Daren Sammy endures a new struggle with the local franchise, Saint Lucia’s very own Gary Mathurin has not been doing too badly with the
Jamaica franchise. The Jamaica Tallawahs defeated the Guyana Amazon Warriors by two runs as action in the 2017 Caribbean Premier League continued. Batting first, Jamaica got to the modest total of  128/ 7 in their 20 overs. G Phillips top scored with 51. Towards the end Gary was not out on 3 runs. For Guyana, Jacobs took 2/18.

In response, Guyana were stifled as they got to 126/4 in their 20 overs. Chadrick Walton top scored with 37. For Jamaica, Keswick Williams took 3/ 30, while St. Lucia’s Gary Mathurin was very economical as his added pressure got him 1/29 in his 4 overs.

Gary seems to be doing fairly well in Jamaica. One may hasten to argue that Gary has been doing better than 90% of the bowlers picked by the Saint Lucia Stars thus far.
