Two young cricketers Lee Solomon and Garvin Serieux left St Lucia today August 7, to join other Regional players in Barbados from where they will proceed to the United Kingdom from August 8 to August 21.
The two St Lucians are part of the WICB (CWI) 2017 Under – 16 Cricket Team.
He attends the Corinth Secondary School and resides in the Grande Riviere community.
His cricket development from age 8 was done by the WICB (CWI) Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Program.
Attributes: Left Handed opening batsman/ Right arm seam bowler.
He attends the Micoud Secondary School and resides in the Mon Repos community.
His early cricket development was done through the WICB (CWI) Eastern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Program and for the past two years the Northern Cluster Grassroots Cricket Program.
Right handed top order batsman / right arm off spinner/ wicket keeper.
Solomon and Serieux now follows the foot steps of previous St Lucians over the immediate past, who have made the West Indies Under – 16 Cricket Team.
In 2015: Johnnel Eugene, Dane Edward and Kimani Melius.
In 2016: Kimani Melius
Now in 2017: Lee Solomon and Garvin Serieux.
While in the U.K. The West Indies young cricketers will play 6, 50 over matches against various opponents.
