Melius made a brilliant 109 with 13 fours and 3 sixes while Edwards supported with a mature 73 with 7 fours and 3 sixes. Dillon Douglas made 34 and Jeremy Layne 25.
Batting a second time they finished on 245 for 4 after play was called off.
