St. Lucian Contingent Returns Home

A four member team, comprising three boxers and coach returned to St Lucia over the weekend, after gloving up against French opponents from Guadeloupe. The St. Lucian contingent included schoolboy Javannus Fevrier and police officer Colin Vidal making their debuts. Despite the fact that both boxers lost on their outings, they were described to have shown courage and potential.

The other boxer Nathan Ferrari with a record of   two wins and two losses went up against Guadeloupe and French  Champion, Kashan Jacoby whose record is fifteen and four, in a highly charged bout filled with intensity and punches, St.Lucia’s young promise Ferrari lost by one point in front of a large and appreciative Petit Bough audience. Jacoby got the nod over Ferrari, but a rematch is already set for Saturday 14th, May 2016 in Mabouya Valley, at the La Resource playing field, where a Massive road show will come off featuring four regional bouts.

Meantime, a three man team continues training for Guyana Schoolboy’s and Juniors tournament, this month end. Nathan Ferrari, Kareem. Boyce and Taj brown are earmarked for Guyana.
