St. Lucia Under 20 Lose 4-Nil Against Trinidad

From the CFU Semi-Final Match between Trinidad & Tobago and St. Lucia at the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva. T&T won 2-0.

The St. Lucia Under 20 football team suffered a 4-nil defeat at the hands of Trinidad and Tobago in the 2016 CONCACAF Under 20 championships being played in Curacao. According to reports coming from Curacao, Trinidad dominated proceedings in this encounter enjoying almost 56% of the ball possession. Trinidad went into the break having squandered a number of opportunities against a St. Lucia team who has played well against them  at other levels in previous competitions.

St. Lucia however failed to get on the score sheet in this encounter, proving perhaps that they missed the attacking impetus Nyron Winter would have provided. This result effectively eliminates team St. Lucia from moving into the next round of this competition. St. Lucia take on Cuba on October, 26th, 2016.
