The highly anticipated 2017 Vizions Super League is three months away. And, three months before the kick off of the most generous competition on St. Lucia’s sporting calendar, a press has been scheduled to apprise St. Lucians on this year’s competition. The press launch of what is expected to be a tournament at another level, will be held on Monday January 30th 2017. The affiliates of the St. Lucia Football Association along with other invited guests will be addressed by Vizions super League organiser Didus Fedee who will make pronouncements on this year’s tournament.
For the first time in St. Lucia’s history a car will be given to one lucky patron at the grand final. Supporters can accumulate tokens from gate receipts, and drinks bought at activities which will heighten their chances of walking away with the grand prize. Nineteen teams will be in intense training in the hopes of winning the ultimate title. Over 100, 000 in cash and prizes will be given to supporters of this event. The tournament is expected to spread through various venues in St. Lucia, where scores of onlookers will have chances to walk home with home appliances, toys for kids, cash and other tokens.
Micoud are the defending champions of this tournament, defeating Vieux-Fort South in stunning fashion in front of their home crowd last year. This time around 18 other teams will be hunting down the giants from the Southeast in the hope of walking away with: the championship rings, the coveted Super League Cup and over $30, 000 in cash.
