Vide Bouteille Secondary and St. Mary’s College played to a one-one draw on Thursday afternoon, as action in the 2017 Inter Schools Football Competition continued. In the match played at the Sab Playing facility, St. Mary’s College went on top, thanks to a goal from Leontus Alexander. Alexander’s goal came in the 66th minute. After some box to box football from the two teams from Castries North, Gros-Islet’s skillful player Samuel Lawrence equalize for Vide Boutielle in the 76th minute. At the end of 90 minutes, yet another draw was recorded in this year’s football tournament.
In another match played on Thursday, Leon Hess Comprehensive defeated Corinth Secondary School 2 goals to 1. National youth player Daniel Biscette got things going for Corinth Secondary with a goal in the 25th minute. Danzel Busette and Turjard Stava were the goal scorers for Leon Hess Comprehensive.
Action continued in Under 19 Football on Thursday, with Boys Training Center defeating CARE 3-1. Donelson Jn, Marie and Lyndon Thomas were the goal scorers for BTC. The other goal was as a result of an own goal. For CARE, Velen Gustave was their loan goal scorer in the 70th minute.
National Under 17 striker Gabriel Biscette’s 44th minute goal was not enough for Sir Ira Simmons, as they were defeated 3-1 by Ciceron Secondary School. A Kenkal Henry Brace with goals in the 5th and 22nd minute, propelled Ciceron to victory. The other goal for Ciceron was scored by Kiwayne John.
