Levern Spencer Finishes 5th at World Indoors

Levern Spencer finished 5th overall in the high jump event, at the recently completed IAAF Indoor Championships held in Portland. Spencer had a decent start to the competition clearing 1.84, 1.89 and 1.93m with relative ease, leaping over on her first attempts. Levern would however struggle at 1.96 meters, a height she has gone over on multiple occasions. Vashti Cunningham of the United States would however clear the height with on her first attempt at capture gold for the host nation. Ruth Beitia would finish in second from Spain would finish second also leaping over 1.96m, and while Kamila Licwinko of Poland finished in third after clearing 1.96m.
