Action continued in the KFC sponsored Commercial League basketball competition on Wednesday evening with CSA coming up against Police, at the Beausejour Indoor Facility.From the onset the match was keenly contested with CSA enjoying a 15 – 13 margin at the end of the first quarter. However, during the second quarter CSA was able to cement their position with some domineering pla to out score their opponents 22 – 13 thus ending the half quite comfortably 37 – 26.
Despite a resurgence from the lawmen who outscored the CSA 19 – 16 they still ended the third quarter on the backburner 53 – 45. This spirited fightback was unable to be sustained by the lawmen as the Civil Servants regained their composure to out maneuver their opponents 20 – 16 as they romped home victorious 73 – 61 to continue their unbeaten run in the tournament to date.Lanse Prospere was the KFC Player of the Game with 22 points. He was ably assisted by Ron Dumurville 18 points and Keegan Preville 14 points, 17 rebounds, 4 steals and Benny Hippolyte 13 points and 8 rebounds.The main contributors for the Police team were Shervon Mathieu 13 points, 12 rebounds, Kerlinus Augustin 10 points.
