Julien Alfred Returns Home

Julien Alfred returned home to Saint Lucia on 22nd March, 2016 since taking up an athletics scholarship in September at the St. Catherine’s High School in Jamaica and capturing 3 silver medals at the famous Boys and Girls Champs there. Julien was welcomed home by officials from the Ministry of Youth Development and Sports and her family.
Having received the 2015 Junior Sportswoman of the Year Award in absentia, Ms. Alfred’s arrival home was also greeted by Managing Director of the Cell, Mr. Jermile Daniel who has pledged his company’s support to the development of Saint Lucia’s Elite Athletes. She was presented with a token of appreciation for her accomplishments, courtesy the Cell Saint Lucia.
Julien is expected to compete in Grenada at the 2016 CARIFTA Games scheduled for the Easter weekend. She will participate in the 100m and 200m races. The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports wishes Ms. Alfred great success and pledges its continued support for her and other athletes as they continue to strive for excellence.
