Grenada Fancy Their Chances In WIFA Men’s Championships

Grenada Spice Boyz should fancy their chances winning the 2017 WIFA Men’s Tournament playing right on their home turf. After an unimpressive showing by the bajans against St. Vincent and the Grenadines where they succumbed against the defending champions who was winless up until last evening’s game, and St. Lucia and Dominica surrendering their title hopes to a lackluster goalless draw, one would believe that the Spice Boyz only have them selves to blame if they fail to capture the 2017 Sub regional tournament on Thursday.

Grenada who enjoyed a rest day on Match Day 4 should fancy themselves against the Barbadians who have looked lack luster to say the least. The highlights of the tournament thus far has been Myron Samuel of St. Vincent and the Grenadines who registered the first hatrick of the tournament as they defeated Barbados 4 – 2.

Other flashes of brilliance has been the Grenadian teenage sensation Saydrel Lewis two goals against St. Vincent and the Grenadines, as well as Dominica’s surprise performance in the tournament thus far.Grenada despite having a two point advantage over their closest rivals Dominica and St. Lucia have only themselves to beat in their final match on Thursday night. Time alone will tell if they can live up to expectations.
