The St. Lucia Football Association continued its round 16 of the FA Fantasy Inter-District Champions League at the Phillip Marcellin ground in Vieux Fort on Sunday 20th March with two games featuring Roseau Valley – Juventus vs Choiseul – Barcelona and Vieux Fort – Arsenal vs Vieux Fort South – Dortmund. The 1st game saw Choiseul-Barcelona taking the lead in the 1st half with a goal from Johnson Aerbert in the 9th minutes. An own goal from Tierone Octave of Roseau Valley – Juventus in the 44th minutes gave Choiseul– Barcelona another goal ending the 1st half 2-0. No more goals were scored in the 2nd half giving Choiseul-Barcelona the upset win over Roseau Valley- Juventus 2-0 exciting the Choiseul Supporters who were happy with the level of play by the Choiseul – Barcelona Team.

 

The 2nd game featured Vieux Fort North – Arsenal vs Vieux Fort South – Dortmund. The 1st half of the game saw Vieux Fort North – Arsenal taking the lead with a goal from Jessey Charley in the 12th minutes. Vieux Fort South – Dortmund equalized with a goal from Noah Nicholas in the 45th minutes and took the lead with a goal from Hason Evans in the 2nd half of the game.  Vieux Forth North – Arsenal equalized in the 90th minutes with a goal from Derville Emmanuel ending the game 2-2.  Penalties were then taken with Vieux Forth North – Arsenal winning over Vieux Forth South – Dortmund 10-9 giving the crowd more excitement and loud support for their individual teams. The next set of games for the FA Fantasy Inter-District Champions League 2016 will be held Saturday 26th March at the Micoud Playing Field with the 1st game at 6.00 p.m. featuring Mabouya Valley AS-Monaco FC vs Laborie – FC BASEL 1893 and the 2nd game at 8.00 p.m. featuring Soufriere – Bayern Munchen vs Canaries – Bayer Leverkusen.
