The 2017 SLFA/Blackheart tournament has been absolutely amazing so far. After commencing with 16 teams, only four teams are left standing. Three of the four teams left, have lifted the highly coveted title before. These include Gros Islet, Canaries and defending champions Vieux Fort South. The other team featuring in this weekend’s top clashes is Marchand. The sports loving community got to the title decider last year and will be looking to do the same for the second consecutive year.
As such, organisers of this year’s very exciting tournament have confirmed that they will stick with the initially announced venue for the tournament’s semi final and final. Therefore, the Daren Sammy Stadium will host the two monumental clashes this weekend. As confirmed by SLFA official and tournament coordinator Victorin Lawrence, on Saturday night, Canaries will take on Marchand at 6:30pm while at 8:30 pm Gros Islet will take on defending champions Vieux Fort South.
