Babonneau Secondary batting first was dismissed for 191 in 24.4 overs, with Rene Montoute stroking 70 which included 15 fours, Wilson Charlemagne 19 and Kimani Melius 10. Bowling for CARE, Zac Anthony 5 for 26 in 6.4 overs and Emmerson Charles 3 for 38 in 7 overs.
In reply, CARE was bowled out for 109 in 15 overs, with Emmerson Charles making 37 and Prince Gabriel 13. Bowling for Babonneau Secondary, Wilson Charlemagne 3 for 20 in 3 overs, Rene Montoute 3 for 22 in 7 overs and Jelani Cupid 2 for 11 in 2 overs.
The tournament continues on Tuesday, March 8 with four matches as teams vie to advance into the quarter-final stage.
At the Gros Islet Playing Field, Corinth Secondary comes up against Babonneau Secondary, at the Monchy Playing Field, Sir Arthur Lewis Community College plays Entrepot Secondary, at the Piaye Playing Field Vieux Fort Comprehensive La Ressource clashes with Piaye Secondary and at the Dennery Playing Field, it will be Grande Riviere Secondary and Micoud Secondary locked in battle.
