St. Lucia’s Stars wretched form continued on Thursday night as they were beaten by 21 runs via the DLS Method by Barbados Tridents. On the flip side Kieron Pollard’s red hot form on the road continued. Following his 62 off 33 balls against Jamaica Tallawahs, Pollard blitzed five fours and six sixes in an unbeaten 35 ball 83 to take Tridents to an insurmountable 196 for 4 the highest score in the Tournament to date.

In the evening Dwayne Smith became the seventh batsman to score 7000 runs in T twenty cricket by the time he had scored 31 runs. In the end he scored 36 runs while Williamson scored 46.Another mile stone was reached, when with 28 runs off the final over, the Tridents registered the highest CPL total at the Daren Sammy Ground, and just one short of the overall record set by Australia in the 2010 World T 20.Wayne Parnell was the pick of the bowlers for the Trident with 3 for 28.
