2016 Inter School Under 15 Cricket Tournament Results

The Ministry of Youth Development and Sports 2016 Inter Secondary Schools Under – 15 Cricket Tournament continued on Tuesday, May 10 with the following results:

Victories were recorded for St. Mary’s College over Leon Hess Comprehensive, Sir Ira Simmons Secondary over Castries Comprehensive, Choiseul Secondary over Vieux Fort Comprehensive Beanfield and for Clendon Mason Memorial by default over George Charles Secondary. At the Gros Islet Playing Field, St. Mary’s College earned a hard fought 56 run victory over Leon Hess Comprehensive. St. Mary’s College batting first, led by half-centuries from Ackeem Auguste 68 and Zidane Arthur with an even 50 made a respectable 219 all out in 43.3 overs. For Leon Hess Comprehensive, Jaden Elibox picked up 2 for 18 in 9 overs and Evan Deterville 2 for 36 in 5 overs. Leon Hess Comprehensive in reply was dismissed for 163 in 38.5 overs, with Keygan Arnold making 46 and Matteo Boulogne 38. Jervel Dupres was St Mary’s College leading wicket taker with 4 for 36 in 9 overs and was supported by Ackeem Auguste with 3 for 16 in 7 overs. Result: St Mary’s College winning over Leon Hess Comprehensive by 56 runs. At the Monchy Playing Field, Sir Ira Simmons Secondary won over Castries Comprehensive in a close game by 7 runs. Sir Ira Simmons taking first knock in a game reduced to 25 overs a side due to a rain interruption that left the pitch unfit for play was dismissed for 158 in 22.3 overs, with Jade Emmanuel making 26, Emmanus Chandler 23 and Chavez John 16. Bowling for Castries Comprehensive, Zayee Antoine 3 for 23 in 4.3 overs, Javid Rosalie 3 for 31 in 5 overs and Mc Kenny Clarke 2 for 38 in 5 overs. Chassing 159 for victory, Castries Comprehensive made a really good effort to achieve victory but fell short at the end, finishing on 151 all out in 20.4 overs. Mc Kenny Clarke led the scoring with 41, Zayee Antoine made 32 and Larius Henry 15. Bowling for Sir Ira Simmons, Kerrick Victor 4 for 14 in 5 overs and Jade Emmanuel 3 for 26 in 5 overs. Result: Sir Ira Simmons Secondary winning over Castries Comprehensive by 7 runs. At the Piaye Playing Field, Choiseul Secondary recorded a comfortable 30 run victory over Vieux Fort Comprehensive Beanefield. Choiseul Secondary batting first was dismissed for 145 in 30.5 overs, with Marley Hunte making 46 and Kurvey Rosemond 13. Bowling for Beanefield Comprehensive, Nicoli Stephens 3 for 12 in 2.5 overs, Tyrone Theodore 4 for 23 in 5 overs and Canan Mc Lawerence 2 for 22 in 3 overs. In reply, Beanefield Secondary was dismissed for 115 in 28.2 overs, with Tyrone Theodore 25 and Jeamil Dugaillard 15. Bowling for Choiseul Secondary, Simon Smith 4 for 17 in 5 overs, Darvel Edward 4 for 29 in 7 overs and Kurvey Rosemond 2 for 36 in 8.2 overs. Result: Choiseul Secondary winning over Beanefield Comprehensive by 30 runs. At the Dennery Playing Field, Clendon Mason Memorial won by default over George Charles Secondary….The tournament continues on Wednesday, May 11 with one match. Entrepot Secondary plays SDA Academy at the Monchy Playing Field.
