Curacao Wins Football Challenge

St. Lucia’s local Guinness Street Football Champions Fantastic were unable to replicate the achievements of last year’s regional Champs Veterans, in the 2016 Guinness Street Football Challenge. In the matches played right here in St. Lucia and streamed live on Sportmax, the final four teams left standing at the end of the tournament included Curacao, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica.

Despite the torrential rains of the evening, organizers pushed through to ensure the near midnight completion of this event.  In the grand final,  Curacao defeated Trinidad and Tobago 1-nil to claim the cash prize and an all expense paid trip to Brazil.
